Fleas

Fleas, tiny wingless insects of the order Siphonaptera, are notorious for their ability to infest pets and homes, causing discomfort and irritation. With their specialized mouthparts adapted for piercing skin and sucking blood, fleas feed on the blood of mammals and birds. Their rapid reproductive rate allows them to quickly populate an area, making them difficult to eradicate once established. Flea bites can result in itching, redness, and in some cases, allergic reactions or transmission of diseases such as typhus and bubonic plague. Effective flea control typically involves treating both pets and their living environment to break the flea life cycle. Prevention measures such as regular grooming of pets and maintaining a clean living space can help reduce the risk of flea infestations.
