When it comes to protecting your home from unwanted pests and keeping your lawn healthy and beautiful, choosing a company you can trust makes all the difference. At ProGuard Pest & Lawn, we're proud to be a locally owned and operated business dedicated to serving homeowners and businesses throughout Northwest Ohio and Northeast Indiana.

From Van Wert, Delphos, Celina, and Paulding, Ohio, to Decatur, Indiana, our goal is simple: provide dependable, professional pest control and lawn care services while treating every customer like a neighbor.

We're more than just another pest control company. We're a local business built on hard work, honesty, faith, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the communities we serve.

Who We Are: A Locally Owned Company Built on Faith and Service

ProGuard Pest & Lawn was founded in 2024 by Bain and Channing Wannemacher in Van Wert, Ohio, with a vision to bring high-quality pest control and lawn care services to the surrounding communities.

As a family-owned business, we understand how important it is to protect the places where families live, work, and spend time together.

Our mission says it best:

"Control Pests, Save Lawns, Serve God, Impact People."

Those aren't just words to us. They're the foundation of how we operate our business every day.

We believe in showing up when we say we will, communicating honestly, doing quality work, and treating our customers with respect. Whether we're eliminating a pest problem, helping restore a struggling lawn, or answering a homeowner's questions, we want every interaction to reflect our commitment to serving others.

When you choose ProGuard, you're not calling a large, out-of-town corporation. You're supporting a local family and a business that genuinely cares about the community.

What We Do: Professional Pest Control Services

Pests can quickly turn a comfortable home into a stressful environment. Whether you're dealing with ants in the kitchen, spiders around your home, mosquitoes in the backyard, or wasps nesting near your roofline, ProGuard is here to help.

We provide professional residential and commercial pest control services designed to address existing infestations and help prevent future pest problems.

General Pest Control

Our comprehensive pest control services target many of the common insects and pests found throughout Northwest Ohio and Northeast Indiana, including:

• Ants and carpenter ants

• Spiders

• Cockroaches

• Earwigs and silverfish

• Centipedes and millipedes

• Crickets

• Stink bugs and lady beetles

• Pill bugs and other occasional invaders

Our general pest control process may include interior and exterior inspections, targeted interior treatments, eave sweeping and dusting, crack-and-crevice applications, exterior perimeter treatments, and granular barriers when appropriate.

By focusing on both current pest activity and potential entry points, we work to provide lasting protection for your home or business.

Mosquito, Flea, and Tick Control

Your backyard should be a place to relax, not a place where you're constantly swatting mosquitoes or worrying about ticks.

Our mosquito, flea, and tick control services help reduce pest populations around your property so you can spend more time enjoying the outdoors.

These treatments are especially valuable during the warmer months when mosquitoes and ticks become more active throughout Ohio and Indiana.

Wasp, Hornet, and Yellowjacket Treatments

Stinging insects can become a serious concern when they build nests around homes, garages, sheds, and outdoor gathering areas.

ProGuard provides professional treatments for wasps, hornets, yellowjackets, and other problem stinging insects. Whether a nest is hanging from an eave or hidden inside a wall void, we work to identify the problem and develop an appropriate treatment strategy.

Rodent Control

Mice and rats can cause property damage, contaminate food, and create unwanted problems for homeowners and businesses.

We offer rodent control solutions, including strategically placed bait stations and recommendations to help reduce rodent activity around your property.

Bed Bug Treatments

Bed bugs can be difficult to eliminate without a thorough treatment strategy. ProGuard provides professional bed bug services to help customers address infestations and regain peace of mind.

What We Do: Professional Lawn Care Services

At ProGuard, we don't just protect your home from pests. We also help keep your lawn looking its best.

Our lawn care services are designed to improve turf health, control weeds, encourage thicker grass, and create lawns homeowners can be proud of.

And when it comes to lawn care, we like to keep things simple:

"We grow it, you mow it."

Lawn Fertilization and Weed Control

A healthy lawn starts with proper nutrition and effective weed management.

Our lawn fertilization and weed control programs help strengthen your grass while targeting common weeds such as dandelions, clover, crabgrass, ground ivy, and other unwanted vegetation.

We use seasonal applications and targeted treatments based on the needs of your lawn and the growing conditions in our region.

Core Aeration and Overseeding

Over time, soil can become compacted, making it difficult for water, oxygen, and nutrients to reach your lawn's root system.

Core aeration helps relieve compaction, while overseeding introduces new grass seed to help improve lawn density and appearance.

These services are particularly beneficial for lawns with thin areas, heavy foot traffic, or declining turf quality.

Lawn Pest Control

Certain insects can damage grass and create unhealthy patches throughout your yard.

We provide lawn pest control services to help manage damaging insect populations and protect your investment in a healthy lawn.

Tree and Shrub Care

Your landscape is more than just grass. Trees and shrubs also play an important role in your property's appearance.

Our tree and shrub services help protect and maintain ornamental plants as part of a well-rounded landscape care program.
